cityQuicker lists a wide variety of organizations in this section from The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and their excellent Mai Po Marsh birdwatching facility to learning about Hong Kong through the lectures at The Royal Asiatic Society or meeting others through the many Professional and Business Associations.

Volunteering is an important part of life in Hong Kong and also a way to meet people and get involved in the community. If you have a few hours or several days a month to share, many of the not-for-profit groups would like to hear from you!

In the CQ listings you will find dozens of groups that need helpers with everything from fundraising to rolling bandages to looking after animals at the SPCA, answering the anti-suicide hotline for the Samaritans or taking the aged out for the day.

In the comprehensive CQ listings for Places of Worship you can find location and contact details as well as details on the services. Services may be conducted in either English, Chinese, Tagalog or other languages. Make sure the service is in the language of your choice in advance.

CQ also provides details of all the consulates in this section. Consulates and the services they provide varies enormously. Some have only a very few employees and provide very limited assistance. Others like the U.K. and the U.S. have a large staff that provide a wide range of assistance to their citizens.

Certain countries request that citizens register with the local consulate when they are living in Hong Kong.
